2012 Audi A3 E-Tron Concept Quality Performance

The 2012 Audi A3 e-tron concept design represents the typical Audi language of sporty elegance. The single-frame grille is integrated into the front end, giving it a sculptured look. Its frame is made of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), and the transversely mounted, three-dimensional aluminum louvers create a visual effect that emphasizes the showcar’s width. The headlights merge with the beveled upper corners of the single-frame, forming a transition that marks the starting point of the prominently accentuated lines of the engine hood.

The 2012 Audi A3 E-Tron Concept headlights represent a new stage of evolution in LED technology, a groundbreaking innovation from Audi. They become broader as they extend outward, and a line underneath makes them seem to float on air. Above the front spoiler is a full-length air intake, also made of CFRP, framed by a metal clasp. The spoiler features a splitter that increases the downforce on the front wheels. The intelligent interplay between surfaces and lines also defines the tail end of the Audi A3 e-tron concept. The broad, flat tail lights are sculptured and culminate in a point on the inside, and the tailgate bears an elegant spoiler edge.

The rear apron includes a diffuser insert of CFRP and metal, which in turn surrounds the two large tailpipes for the exhaust system. Working together, the gasoline engine and electric motor accelerate the notchback to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 6.8 seconds, then on to 231 km/h (143.54 mph). A regulated oil pump, the intelligent Audi thermal management system, a start-stop system and an energy recovery system  technologies from the brand’s modular efficiency platform all contribute to this high efficiency.

At the heart of the A3 e-tron concept are the lithium-ion batteries located behind the rear seats. Audi A3 E-Tron Concept With a charge capacity of 12 kWh, they give the notchback a range of up to 54 km (34 miles) on electric power alone. The batteries are charged by the standard energy recovery system when the car is in motion or directly from a household power socket when it is parked. This means that in most cases, the car is entirely emission-free in city driving. The front suspension a MacPherson construction with a separate axle support has a track measuring a full 1,572 millimeters (61.89 in). The rack-and-pinion steering is extremely efficient because its electromechanical drive system requires no energy when driving straight ahead.

2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet Review

Top down driving with true power, the supercharged 3.0 TFSI V6 in the 2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet brings efficiency to a formidable mix of 333 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. With the top down, the performance engine puts a little kick into your cruising. Top up, it’s an unmistakable sports car feel, with the power augmented by the superior handling afforded by Audi quattro all-wheel drive with available sports differential to help cornering and provide dynamic handling. The Transmissions innovative S tronic comes standard on the Audi S5 Cabriolet. A dual-clutch gearbox capable of delivering incredibly quick shifts as fast as 0.2 seconds, in fact the S tronic transmission has dual input shafts and two clutch packs that help the system “predict” the driver’s acceleration or braking input, pre-select the next appropriate gear, and greatly reduce the shifting time.

With innovative standard active and passive safety features and an impressive variety of available driver assist features to showcase Audi progressive thinking, the  2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet isn’t afraid to show a prudent side. With eight standard airbags helping to protect the driver and passengers, and driver assistance technologies that help you stay in control, Audi thinks of your security in a comprehensive way, so you can concentrate on better things like the great performance of your S5 Cabriolet

ESC is automatically applied to each wheel: at the outside front wheel to help mitigate oversteer, or the inside rear wheel to help reduce understeer. In this way, ESC helps prevent the vehicle from entering a tailspin and reduces engine power until you regain control of the vehicle. Available radar sensors with optical warnings help keep the driver informed, in two different warning stages, about what is approaching from hard-to-see angles behind and to the side of the vehicle. The A5 Coupe model’s eight and S5 Cabriolet model’s six standard, second-generation airbags include front-impact airbags for both driver and passenger and are designed specifically to help protect the head during impact.

Available Audi adaptive cruise control on the  2012 Audi S5 Cabriolet helps the driver take command over even more of the driving experience, as its long-range radar measures the distance to the vehicle ahead, sends its data to a computer that weighs the information against velocity and other road variables, and applies the brakes as necessary. Once the road is safe to cruise, the S5 Cabriolet effortlessly accelerates back to its desired speed.

This 19" Cortada alloy wheel offers a 5-spoke design consisting of machined triangular panels on each spoke. Its unique Cortada styling benefits from hollow spokes that help keep the S5 light and versatile. With front and rear valances with blade inserts complementing its side skirts, the full body kit on the Audi S5 Cabriolet accents your personality on the open road. S5 All-weather Floor Mats Deep-ribbed, channeled design helps protect the floor and carpeting from water, mud, sand and snow. Rubber mats feature vehicle logo. Set of four mats. Providing an extra element of confidence to your Audi S5 Cabriolet, this impressive drop-center, deepdish design makes this 15-spoke wheel stand out in any environment.

Body modifications aren’t usually this refined. The lines of this spoiler integrate perfectly into the stock body panels of the S5 Cabriolet so that this enhancement meets the eye organically. The result is an inherently different look and feel to your Audi A5. S5 All-weather Floor Mats As a stain barrier for your S5 Cabriolet model’s carpet, these mats withstand practically anything, from caked mud to toppled coffees and  fumbled gazpacho. This set of eye-catching badges and stone guards communicate to the world the pride and passion you have for your Audi S5 Cabriolet.

2012 Audi S5 and Audi S5 Coupe 3D Navigation Technology

The 2012 Audi S5 Coupe doesn’t take anything away from the Audi A5 Coupe it only adds. The Audi S5 Coupe, for example, adds a potent 4.2 FSI V8 that features 354 hp, while the S5 Cabriolet adds a supercharged 3.0 TFSI with 333 hp. It brings an agile, aggressive stance to an already powerful profile. And with a stiffer suspension, it helps to enhance its already dynamic handling. But most of all, the Audi S5 Coupe is sleekly styled, propulsive energy for those who want to take performance to a more progressive level.

We give you the freedom to rev away with the Audi 4.2 FSI V8 in the 2012 Audi S5 Coupe. Delivering a robust 354 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque to an impressive performance portfolio, it’s muscle, yes, but stylishly applied, so you look athletic, not bulked up. In addition, a sports differential can be added to Audi quattro all-wheel drive, helping to give you more handling ability by actively controlling the torque distribution to the rear wheels, making for tighter cornering and sure-footed driving. The 2012 S5 Coupe transmissions six-speed manual and the optional six-speed Tiptronic both offer smoother and more precise shifting through the gearbox, emphasizing a fast, energetic response. The manual puts you at center stage while the Tiptronic adds automatic/manual flexibility and efficiency to your transmission.

Pick a song. Pick a person to talk to. Pick a destination. It’s your whim, delivered through the available Audi MMI Navigation plus. Intuitive controls and settings allow the Audi S5 Coupe to understand a world of commands with a simple push of a button, an easy voice command or a click of a knob, letting you focus on the drive. From SiriusXM Satellite Radio to personalized commands, MMI helps deliver your desires. And its next-generation interface with an NVIDIA processor allows you faster and easier access to the interactive features of MMI.

Judge your environment, see buildings and anticipate your next turn with available 3D navigation that helps put a little more depth in any journey.Your car should adjust to you, not the other way around. Experiment with a variety of settings to help you develop one-click controls and personalized settings on your Audi S5 Coupe. Match your driving mood with a variety of stations throughout the nation. Simple to use, easy to see. The available Audi music interface allows you to enjoy a variety of playlists and stations while maintaining focus on the road. The Audi S5 Coupe provides enough available music storage to take a cross-country trip without repeating a single song. Your life doesn’t stop once you enter the S5 Coupe. That’s why we’ve designed an available specific hub for your compatible BLUETOOTH mobile phone, so you can confidently interface with your S5 while keeping your eyes squarely on the road ahead.

The Audi S5 Coupe compressing the air flow to the engine allows more air into the cylinder and ultimately more power from each ignition, significantly improving the engine’s power-to-displacement ratio. Audi FSI direct injection helps cut  down on waste and increases power by delivering a precise amount of fuel directly into the engine cylinder, helping ensure a more complete combustion. With higher compression ratios and cylinder pressure, the TFSI engine fully atomizes fuel and helps optimize boost response. The combination of these advanced technologies allows Audi to use a smaller, more efficient engine that still achieves excellent power and performance results.

2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet Luxury Technology

When dynamic curves are designed expressly for the interplay of light and shadow across the cabin when the top is down, you know you are in a visionary kind of cabriolet. That’s if you want to notice. Otherwise, you can enjoy the more direct pleasures of a top-performing Audi A5 Cabriolet potent acceleration, poised handling and smiling with abandon, wondering how you ever drove without sunscreen. The top of the 2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet invites you to take advantage of clear skies for as long as the sun is out. If clouds do come, it takes approximately 17 seconds for drivers to fully deploy its roof (even at speeds up to 31 mph), so you can practically beat the first drop you see. Available on Audi A5 Cabriolet models, the head-level heating system offers luxurious and therapeutic temperature control, allowing both driver and passenger to enjoy the splendor of a convertible, even in cooler climates.

Despite what rear-wheel-drive aficionados like to brag about, the loss of traction is not performance. That’s why the 2012 Audi A5 Cabriolet delivers its impressive performance through its available road-gripping Audi quattro all-wheel drive system. More than a new toy to show your friends, its dynamic handling and performance shines through in all seasons and in a wide range of weather. And with available technologies like Audi drive select and sports differential with torque vectoring on the S5, we’ve created a more dynami all-wheel drive system that has set the new standard for the industry for the foreseeable future.

2012 Audi-A5 Cabriolet

Audi quattro all-wheel drive is based around a torque-sensing, self-locking, center differential that assists in shifting torque to where it’s needed most. For the driver, that means Audi quattro adjusts power between front and rear axles to help optimize control and performance. The drive is responsive, but we also demand that you respond to the drive. Available Audi A5 Cabriolet drive select gives you Comfort, Auto and Dynamic settings that cater to both your mood and the surrounding conditions.

It’s a handling feature that seems to respond to your impulses before your steering input. An evolution of cross-axle lock, this available system works within Audi quattro, while utilizing ESC and ABS to help sense traction loss from the inside cornering tire. The use of weight-saving aluminum for critical components helps the suspension to respond rapidly during decisive, split-second situations on the road. With the finely tuned front suspension components secured to the subframe, the fivelink fron suspension increases ride quality by helping isolate road harshness and vibration to the cabin.

By helping to maximize friction between the vehicle’s rear tires and the road, the Audi A5 Cabriolet and S5 Cabriolet offer a stable base from which their power and torque can be extrapolated throughout. Dampers and Springs Properly absorbing bumps on the road means more than just a comfortable ride. Our system of dampers and springs helps the driver gain control during adverse driving situations.

It’s time to change the equation when it comes to engine performance. The first thought is that six cylinders are automatically better, and sometimes, that’s true. But in a field of performers, the Audi A5 Cabriolet holds its own with four. That’s because it features the Audi 2.0 TFSI a pioneering engine that combines the direct injection of gasoline with efficient and powerful turbocharging technology. Producing 211 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, the 2.0 TFSI has been the engine of choice for more than 1.3 million Audi drivers worldwide. Years ahead of the competition, this 2.0-liter turbocharged DOHC engine combines the Audi valvelift system, variable valve timing, TFSI direct injection and turbocharging for more power and greater efficiency.

The combination of these advanced technologies allows Audi to use a smaller, more efficient engine that still achieves excellent power and performance results. As a continuously variable transmission, the available Audi multitronic combines the dynamics of a manual gearbox with the convenience of an automatic transmission. And thanks to its variable ratios and adaptive map control, Audi multitronic always utilizes the optimal rev range of its engine.

Audi A5 Coupe 2012 Fantastic Concept

From the first rev, it’s unmistakable this is open-collared driving for those who think standing out is better than blending in. The substance is there, of course, with an intense combination of available powertrains, including the controlled power distribution of Audi quattro all-wheel drive, an eight-speed Tiptronic or a six-speed manual transmission that helps deliver dynamic handling and response, and FSI and TFSI engines that provide punch with surprising efficiency. But this isn’t a static blueprint, this is a driver’s car. 2012 Audi A5 Coupe or Audi A5 Cabriolet, both the A5 and S5 were engineered by, and for, those who prefer experience to formality. Take the wheel. Leave the tie.

When even commuter cars are trying to look like something more than a box on wheels, the A5 takes a slightly different approach to style. Think of it as the difference between a marketing gimmick and designed sophistication. Our style isn’t simply to provoke, but to articulate a confident vision. In either  2012 Audi A5 Coupe or Audi A5 Cabriolet body styles, the A5 has the capacity to charm as well as energize. From its driver-centric cabin to the signature flow of its roofline, the A5 Coupe is an uncompromised expression of pure style.

Nothing feels out of place in an 2012 A5 Coupe, and that’s by design. Its streamlined ⅔ body, ⅓ greenhouse design allows its sleek roof to flow seamlessly from its long hood. This is contrasted elegantly by short overhangs at front and rear, giving this sports car its signature aesthetic. Stylish and iconic, available LED daytime run ning lights enhance the unmistakable look and design of the Audi A5 Coupe, as well as its visibility to other drivers, especially during the dawn and dusk hours.

If the cockpit feels like home, it’s because it was designed that way. Built-in comforts like simple, intuitive controls help you streamline your driving experience, while the available Audi MMI Navigation plus with voice control system helps bring convenience and innovation to the instrument panel. By the time you reach out and touch the wraparound curve of the instrument panel or interact with the controls on the steering wheel, you’ll see how seamlessly you and this driver-centric layout fit together. 2012 Audi A5 Coupe Singleframe Grille Emulating the iconic front grille that’s become a part of the Audi legacy, this steering wheel centerpiece, emblazoned by its four-ring hallmark, presents itself as the fulcrum of the well-appointed A5 interior.

2012 A5 Coupe Classic fit, finish and materials add more than a little sophistication to an impressive, athletic profile. Rich inlays like Burnished Wood and Cinnamon Brown Milano leather seating surfaces add a visual warmth to the cabin, or you can go bold with available color leather seating surfaces and Brushed Aluminum inlays. Either way, with thoughtful appointments like standard power front seats, automatic climate control, and available heated front seats, comfort takes center stage.

As the perfect compromise between a dedicated manual and an automatic gearbox, the available eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission in the Audi A5 Coupe offers eight optimized, carefully chosen ratios. Selected via its console-mounted shifter or steering wheel with optional shift paddles, precision shifts are delivered without  sacrificing the smooth action of the Tiptronic automatic. A wide final drive ratio allows optimization of lower gears, yet its upper range emphasizes fuel economy particularly at highway speeds. For drivers who crave engaging and dynamic response, both the Audi A5 Coupe and S5 Coupes present an available six-speed manual gear box which delivers power with vintage Audi finesse. Its short throw and precise ratios add a contemporary element for confident performance on the road.

2012 Audi S4 Super Energy Power

The slightly more risqué sibling to the A4, the Audi S4 might act like it treats the laws of physics as me suggestions. But that’s what happens when Audi enneers dedicate themselves to producing a vehicle th handles practically any road confidently. With its available sports differential, the  2012 Audi S4 adjusts to conditions overdriving the outer rear wheel when warranted. What it means for the driver is dedicated sports car handling, making winding roads your goal, not a route to avoid. Combining Audi quattro with the available sports differential, the  Audi S4 dynamically varies torque between the rear wheels for enhanced cornering agility.

Our drive is responsive, but we also While the engineering on the Audi A4 and Audi S4 helps to elevate the driving profile and performance characteristics, it’s not a totally refined sensibility we’re after. We do, however, leave some of it up to you and your mood.demand that you respond to the drive. With Audi drive select, you choose Comfort, Auto or Dynamic settings that configure the engine, transmission, available sports differential for Audi S4 , suspension and steering to help respond to your mood or the conditions, or just to experiment with drive settings that range from outstandingly comfortable to intensely sporty.

The 2012 Audi S4 comfort  mode (peaceful) perfect for city streets, this setting adds optimized steering and suspension to help provide a smoother drive. Auto mode (balanced) the best of both worlds dialed to automatically adjust setting for a seamless combination of comfort and responsiveness. Dynamic mode (fun) More precise steering and a more sensitive throttle and firmer suspension give this setting an aggressive tilt. Individual mode (customized) take the turn your way this mode allows you to adjust the steering, throttle and transmission upshifts to your style.

Many drivers misplace their acceleration frustration on their engines, when it’s actually the transmission that isn’t rising to the occasion. The  Audi S4 eliminates that concern with revolutionary transmissions, capable of delivering engine power in the most responsive and efficient way possible. This in turn allows you to command up shifts or downshifts on models equipped with automatic transmissions through the available steering-wheel-mounted shift paddles. Replacing our six-speed Tiptronic transmission from previous generations, this will retain the smooth shifting you’ve come to expect, while increasing  the fuel efficiency and responsiveness of your S4.

The Audi S4 Multitronic Continuously Variable Transmission with Front Trak Front-wheel Drive In addition to the dynamics and economy of a traditional manual and the easy shifting of an automatic, the Audi multitronic continuously variable transmission always finds the engine’s optimum rev range for better response. Feel the acceleration, and you know the Audi S4 has undeniable power. But where others tack things on to make power, Audi engineers thought up a better way. Using less. By reducing the overall weight of the car, including using innovative aluminum parts in the engine itself, they were able to install an engine that sacrifices nothing in the way of performance. Anyone can add, but Audi engineers are consumed with getting something more out of the engines they build.

Featuring a classic sport sedan stance and feel, a lowered suspension and stylish sports wheels, the Audi S4 adds an extra helping of performance to its already energetic character. Leaving nothing to chance, its striking aluminum-optic mirrors, quad exhaust tailpipes and exclusive S4 front and rear bumpers are just a few indicators of the power the S4 exudes.

The proof is in the moment you punch the throttle. You might not care how efficient you’ve become, but the fact remains that this Audi S4 with its available seven-speed Audi S tronic dual-clutch trans mission shares a commitment to performance and economy. That’s because this transmission actually shifts gears nearly instantly, with the next gear engaged from a separate clutch, providing quick shifting in low gears, then  rpm-sinking long ratios at top gears. Better yet, it was all designed to work in concert with the high-torque output of its 3.0T engine. Using paddle shifters or automatic mode, you are able to engage the road with an  innovative, optimized transmission that respects efficiency as much as it delivers impressive power.

First things first: zero to 60 in 4.9 seconds. But that’s not the only number worth mentioning here, as the 3.0T supercharged V6 in the S4 utilizes forced induction to streamline fuel efficiency up to a healthy 28 mpg highway1 to surpass traditional eight-cylinder capabilities. So you are able to understand the paradox when it comes to Audi engineering, six cylinders is truly greater than eight. As purposeful as it is powerful, this 3.0-liter V6 is the heart of the S4. And by generating its 333 horsepower through supercharging, it eliminates unnecessary engine displacement, for greater efficiency.

2012 Audi A4 Excellent Speed

It’s not just about power, it’s about how power feels that’s really the crux of performance. The 2012 Audi A4 presents drivers with the classic combination of speed and efficiency. And it flexes finely tuned muscles at your command, while weight saving features turn its 2.0T four-cylinder engine into a six-cylinder power profile. When you feel the impressive torque, the 258 lb-ft force that comes when you hit the throttle, that’s when you know the simple difference between numbers and what actually moves you. The Audi A4 with LED Daytime Running Light Technology Ultra-stylish, they are supposed to catch the eye for aesthetic as well as visibility reasons. They are available LED daytime running lights that are designed to be noticed.

The interior of the A4 feels like home because we designed it that way. Comforts like simple, intuitive controls that help you stay on top of your needs, while the wraparound curve of the instrument panel seems to put you in the middle of it all, integrating seamlessly into the overall layout. We’ve even placed the instruments and gauges closer to windshield level, to help keep your eyes on the road, connecting you to your drive, even if it feels like you’re being pampered. Audi A4 MMI Navigation Plus Fully understand your journey with available Audi MMI Navigation plus, featuring voice control and SiriusXM Traffic.

It’s not enough to simply give luxurious appointments to a cabin. They have to be thought through, designed for a comprehensive luxury experience. Something you see as much as feel. Fortunately, the Audi A4 is filled with such thoughtful appointments that they create the perfect environment for the driver and passengers. Genuine wood and aluminum inlays provide the materials for a precise fit and finish, available keyless start, stop, and entry offers premium convenience, and leather seating surfaces cater to comfort as much as the eyes. Luxury has progressed because we design it for you, not for you to adapt to it. Available in the Audi A4, it gives the driver, front passenger and rear passengers the option to set their individual cabin temperature to suit their particular comfort level.

It’s a little-known fact that in Germany and throughout Europe, the 2012 Audi A4 Avant is thought of as a slightly more sporty, sexier version of the A4. It’s not hard to imagine how Germans see the 2012 Audi A4 Avant as a true turn-on. Sophistication blended with just the right amount of functionality. And with a spectacular design, a sleek, sloped roofline, short overhangs at the wheels and an available sculpted power rear tailgate adding a note of intrigue to function, it’s easy to see style too. Add to that 50.5 cu ft1 of cargo capacity and a panoramic sunroof, and you just might see the light as well. With 60/40 split folding rear seats and impressive cargo capacities, the A4 Avant is uniquely matched for the driver that needs more space from a sports car.

Thirty years ago, the debate was “front or rear?” Audi thought differently both. That’s why the Audi A4 delivers power through an available Audi quattro all-wheel drive system that helps grip the road even before you hit the throttle. In optimal conditions, power is 40:60 rear-wheel biased to help maximize acceleration and corner turn-in. When the conditions become more challenging, power is transferred to help maximize grip and control. More than a bad weather security blanket, it defines dynamic handling while enhancing performance, so you might even throw the road a curve.

2011 Audi S6 Reviews, Specs and Price

The latest generation of the 2011 Audi S6 is one of the most advanced and desirable cars in our range. Thanks to an intelligent combination of steel and aluminium, its body is now significantly lighter which, combined with a new choice of engines, leads to 19% lower fuel consumption. You’ll find a wide range of equipment as standard, including SD card based navigation, 17-inch alloy wheels, Multi-Media Interface with a retractable 6.5” display and leather upholstery. You can also choose from a wide range of innovative options, including a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System and a cockpit-style head-up display that enables you to keep your eyes on the road at all
times.

At Audi, doing less is something we’re trying to do more of. We’re working to use less fuel, release less CO2 and waste less energy. It’s why we’ve incorporated a number of more efficient technologies into the Audi S6. When a vehicle brakes, the discs convert the kinetic energy into thermal energy, which is wasted as it cannot be used. With a recuperation system, like the one in the Audi A6 Saloon, the kinetic energy is converted into useful electrical energy.

The way it works is simple. While the car is coasting or braking, the alternator voltage is raised above the level of the basic electrical system, which enables the alternator to generate electrical energy and store it temporarily in the battery. When the vehicle accelerates, this energy is used to relieve the load on the alternator, resulting in a fuel saving of up to 3%.

The efficient cooling system in the Audi S6 can save up to 8 g/km of CO2 compared with the previous model. It’s thanks to a new brushless motor that’s lighter, uses less energy and has a
longer operating life. From the earliest stages of its design, we looked for ways to save energy in the 2011 Audi S6. It’s why every component has been optimised for greater agility, improved efficiency and more driving pleasure. In fact, thanks to its hybrid aluminium construction, this advanced model is now 15% lighter than a conventional steel vehicle.

The Driver’s Information System in the Audi S6 comes as standard with an innovative efficiency programme, which offers advice on improving fuel economy as you drive. Also, via the standard Audi drive select system you can choose a new efficiency setting which aids you in driving even more economically. In heavy traffic, your car still uses fuel and releases CO2, even when it’s stationary. The automatic Start-Stop function counteracts this problem by switching off the engine when your car comes to a standstill. As soon as you touch the clutch, the car restarts. In conjunction with TDI and TFSI, it helps save up to 0.4 litres of fuel every 100km.

TFSI direct-injection technology is a unique Audi innovation that includes supercharging, which combines FSI technology with forced induction giving cars an extra injection of power and torque. It also delivers enhanced fuel efficiency as precisely the right amount of fuel and air are injected into the combustion chambers, enabling the engine to ‘breathe’ more easily. It results in reduced heat loss and increased output, with around a 15% reduction in fuel consumption and significantly lower
exhaust emissions.

We introduced TDI to the roads in 1989, marking a departure from the noisy, fuel-thirsty diesel engines of the past. And since then, we’ve continuously refined it, recently developing commonrail
technology. Under this system, a series of piezo injectors use electrical charge to precisely control the amount of fuel injected into the engine. As well as reducing noise, this allows combustion to happen at a lower temperature, with less oxygen, which lowers emissions.

Transmissions Multitronic

Translating a driver’s preferences and intentions into road performance, the multitronic® transmission system entertains no compromises whether in terms of dynamism, convenience or economy. multitronic automatic transmission is available on models without quattro permanent all-wheeldrive. A continuously variable transmission, multitronic can transmit up to 400 Nm of torque and permits an exceptionally wide range of gear ratios. The result is smooth, powerful acceleration and a high level of driving comfort. And thanks to its lightweight design and a number of advanced electronic control systems that monitor gradient, road conditions and the way the driver is using the accelerator pedal, multitronic also plays an instrumental role in reducing fuel consumption.

Transmissions Multitronic S tronic

Driving is all about thinking ahead, which is just what the S tronic dual-clutch transmission does. It works almost as two separate systems, one engaging the odd-numbered and the other the even-numbered gears. So when you’re accelerating in second, it has third gear waiting for you. And once you make the switch, it’s already thinking about fourth. With two clutches working together, you can change gears almost instantly while experiencing smooth, uninterrupted power.
