How do you improve an engine that has already won the Engine of the Year Award several times? With an eye for detail and a new concept: TwinScroll turbocharger with Valvetronic, double-Vanos and High Precision Injection. Each one of these technologies has been further developed and combined for the first time in the BMW TwinPower Turbo to an efficient and dynamic package: 225 kW (306 hp), 400 powerful Newton metres with nearly every rev, silky-smooth running. All this with fuel consumption at just 8.9 l/100 km a new all-time high for this vehicle class.
